Voting For DrupalCon Sessions Ends On The 14th of November
We're getting ourselves prepared for Drupalcon Denver, and we wanted to remind everyone in our sphere that voting for the sessions is closing on the 14th of November. That's next week Monday.
Over the course of today, we'll be posting the sessions we've submitted here so that you can look them over and vote on the ones you would like to see.
We'll also mention the other places where you may see them as well.
Comments are open on what you would like to see covered in the sessions because we would love to hear what you'd expect of the session.
DrupalCon London sessions...you're gonna love 'em!!
Seems like only yesterday we were putting the finishing touches on our presentations for DrupalCon Chicago. (Who am I kidding? It feels like ages ago...could this winter have dragged on any longer??)
DrupalCon Chicago 2011: Our Session Videos and Slides
Each year, months before the conferences, Drupalistas around the world come up with what they hope are brilliant ideas for DrupalCon sessions. From introductory sessions for Drupal beginners to expert-level discussions on advanced techniques, DrupalCons provide a vast range of valuable learning content for the Drupal community.
DrupalCon Post-Mortem: Snapskit, our DrupalCon App
While at DrupalCon, Treehouse released a mobile application called Snapskit. The app was a social photography experience focused around DrupalCon and Chicago. Our goal was to provide a fun way for attendees visiting Chicago to explore DrupalCon exhibitor booths and sessions while taking in the sights of the city.
For Treehouse, it was an experiment in mobile development, non-Drupal technology, and lots of patience.
We used Appcelerator Titanium as the mobile framework, Ruby on Rails as the API, and MongoDB for data storage
Of MobileCamp Boston 4 and blending Drupal and Mobile
This past Saturday, at MIT, was MobileCamp Boston 4. This annual un-conference event sold out at 700 registered attendees and was a full day jam-packed with lots of informative sessions.
Sessions at the camp covered a variety of topics including development best practices, project management strategy, marketing and design.
7 Questions with Volacci CEO Ben Finklea: DrupalCon, the Universe...Everything!
Amidst the DrupalCon buzz and pending holidays, we were able to steal Volacci CEO Ben Finklea away for a few minutes to pick his brain about the upcoming DrupalCon, goings on at Volacci, and how the heck a Texan survives Chicago in March.
Many thanks to both Ben and Volacci's Business Development and Relationship Manager Josh Ward for making this interview happen!
Q1: How did Volacci find its place as the Drupal SEO/SEM experts?
DrupalCon Chicago 2011: A Primer to our Session Proposals
What can I say...we're a chatty bunch! This year, Treehouse team members are involved with ten different proposed sessions for the March 2011 DrupalCon in Chicago.
Voting closes December 24th...time is short!
This year, our session proposals cover a broad spectrum of Drupal topics:
(Drupal) Kool-Aid is even better when you mix it up with other flavors!
Treehouse has many great sessions that we are proposing for the next DrupalCon but the one I am most excited about is "There's a Technology for That!"
For developers, is UX the magic bullet?
As a developer, having your hand in the stream of information within your field is a job necessity. We tend to watch things we're interested in, debate the issues we are passionate about, and ignore the ancillary.
Well, what if I told you that the ancillary, especially within Drupal, was key to making your life easier?
It's been a major focus in Drupal 7, especially with the user, but User Experience (UX) principles have just as much potential within developer circles too!
